The 8000ers are the 14 peaks in the world that are over 8,000 meters (26,247 feet) in height and are located in the Himalayas and Karakoram mountain ranges in Asia. Climbing these peaks is considered to be one of the most challenging and dangerous activities in the world, with a high risk of death due to altitude sickness, extreme weather conditions, and technical difficulties.
